Bill serviced our garage door yesterday morning, and I was so impressed with the time, effort and care that he took to make sure all of our needs were met. Bill was able to diagnose the original problem and fix it within the pre-paid appointment window. He took his time and was careful to make sure the problem was resolved.
As Bill was preparing the invoice, I asked him to help me program a remote device that we had not been able to use for years. He willingly helped me program that and went on to show me how to program the garage opener to my van’s remote. In the process of this favor, Bill noticed an unusual “clicking sound” on another garage door. He examined it, figured out the problem, fixed it, and probably saved us a lot of grief and another service call.
I have a background in small, family-owned business, and I know how valuable a committed, hard-working, caring employee is to the bottom line. Bill is really good. Because of his service yesterday, we are now loyal customers of your company.

Dear Mr. Szolis:
My wife and I recently closed on a new home built by Beazer at Estates at Lochaven. And we opted to purchase the Liftmaster garage door openers (for two bays) from Overhead Door, rather than from the Beazer preferred provider. My good fortune was to talk with Mr. Phil Lehr when I called your company on February 10, 2017. Phil was patient and answered all of my multiple questions about garage door openers.
Since I didn’t have a clue as to what the dimensions were for the garage doors and ceiling height, and I could not drive (had my right wrist in a cast at the time), Phil surprised me when he offered to go by the house (which he said was near his home) to get the measurements and to see if there would be any “surprises” for the installer.
After we scheduled an installation date of March 3, 2017, I thought I wouldn’t hear from Phil again, but I was wrong. My wife and I were at the new house after our closing on February 28, when Phil pulled up to the home around 5:00 PM. He said he wanted to make sure the concrete had been poured in the driveway (it was still gravel and dirt on 2-10-17) so the service technician could have access to the garage area on March 3, 2017.
After the installation was completed on March 3rd, I called Phil to let him know that we were missing two of the three remote control openers. He said he would take care of the problem and offered to meet me at the house late afternoon on March 7th to program the remote control devices to work with our two garage door openers.
I also asked Phil to take a look at the garage door monitor that controlled the smaller bay, since the service technician had said on March 3rd that the wires in the wall were dead and not able to send a signal to the door opener in the ceiling. Phil diagnosed the problem, recoupled the wires, and the garage door was magically working.
One thing that is missing in a world of high tech and very little hands on/high touch is an emphasis on customer service. To say that Phil Lehr when above and beyond in his dealings with me and my wife is a massive understatement. If he were willing to invest so much time and energy into making sure we were happy (and elated) to do business with Overhead Door for such a minor purchase, you can be rest assured that when the flimsy doors installed by the “other guy” go bad, we will call Phil for the replacements.
You are fortunate to have Phil Lehr as part of your corporate family. If I were starting a business tomorrow, I could take on and annihilate any competitor with a handful of rare service-minded employees like him.
